Qahvejo: a Persian, right-to-left alternative to Buy Me a Coffee
If you know Buy Me a Coffee, you already get the idea behind Qahvejo: a supporter buys you one or more "coffees". The difference is that Qahvejo was built from day one for Persian-speaking creators and their audiences.
What's different
- Persian and right to left: the page, checkout, emails and dashboard are all in Persian, so first-time online payers don't get lost.
- Bilingual: supporters who don't speak Persian switch to English with one click.
- Persian support: replies are written by a real person, in Persian, usually within one working day.
- Everything on one page: one-off support, monthly memberships, a shop, exclusive posts, support goals and live stream alerts.
Fees
Signing up is free and there are no paid plans. Qahvejo takes 5% of each payment and the card processing fee is deducted separately. Check any other service's current pricing on its own site; we only quote numbers for Qahvejo.
What's the same
Sanctions laws apply to everyone: neither Qahvejo nor similar services can pay out to residents of Iran. Qahvejo is for Persian-speaking creators who live outside Iran.
Qahvejo at a glance
- Cost: signing up and every feature are free. Qahvejo takes 5% of each payment and the card processing fee comes out of the same payment. There are no paid plans and no monthly subscription.
- How supporters pay: Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards, or wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay, from most countries in the world. One-off support needs no account.
- Who can create a page: any creator aged 18 or over who lives in one of 43 supported countries (such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Australia and the UAE) and has a bank account in their own name.
- Payouts: automatic, daily, weekly or monthly, to your own bank account, in US dollars or your country's currency. The money goes straight to your own payment account; Qahvejo never holds it.
- Sanctions: residents of Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Syria and comprehensively sanctioned regions cannot create a page or receive money, and payments from inside Iran are not possible.
